Acceptable Use for Listserv

1. Do not send/broadcast private messages to other subscribers. Use regular email.
2. Do not promote or advertise commercial products that are not appropriate for this list.
3. Do not send jokes, inappropriate pictures/content, chain letters or other "SPAM" mail.
4. Do not request or send serial numbers or passwords.
5. Do not request or post computer cart lock codes.
6. Include your name, school name and telephone number in your signature file when you post a message.
7. Be civil in your postings and replies. The purpose of the list is to benefit subscribers, not  to criticize, use profanity, ostracize, harass, OR shock - NO flaming!
8. Sending attachments with postings is discouraged. Please email the list administrator at ckane@philasd.org if you want to include attachments with your posting.
9. Pause a few minutes to review your post before sending it.

To subscribe to the listserv

Send an email message to ckane@philasd.org *Leave the subject field blank* In the body of the message, enter: subscribe ptrn-list@philasd.org. That's it. You will receive an electronic confirmation requesting that you confirm your subscription request.

Sending Mail to the List

To post (send) a message to the PTRN Mailing List email your message to: ptrn-list@philasd.org

Your message will be forwarded by the Majordomo mailing list manager software to all subscribers of the PTRN Mailing List.

Replying to list

If you reply to a message sent by the mailing list, your reply will go to all subscribers of the list.  If you only want to reply to the individual who posted the message, hold down the "option" key when you select Reply from the Message menu or email the person directly.

Be careful when replying.  You may inadvertently send a reply to the entire list rather than the sender.
