John Wister School's art program offers students a chance to work with local musems and participate in large projects with other schools.  We have been involved in the Dream Flag Project with Agnes Irwin school since 2004, and have displayed beautiful flags each spring at the Kimmel Center. Each contains a student's dream for the future and original artwork created on cotton sheeting. 

Below are some Dream Flags from 2006. Each flag measures about 8 by 10 inches. 

Wister Students have also participated in art partnerships with the Rosenbach Museum.  Below is a full-size map of Germantown created by a third grade class.

 
Another project completed with the Rosenbach Museum was a neighborhood quilt that is displayed in our entrance hallway.
The  finished quilt measures about 6 feet wide by 8 feet high!
