The African American and Latino Scholars Program

The African American and Latino Scholars Program is an academic support program designed to accelerate the learning of students who demonstrate potential for advanced placement course work.    The program consists of one-on-one and group mentoring (before and after school), academic tutoring and remediation, and enrichment activities.  With a 15:1 student to teacher ratio, this program will thoroughly prepare and support African American and Latino students for enrollment in academically advanced classes such as the International Baccalaureate Program at Wilson and Advanced Placement courses in high schools throughout the city of Philadelphia.
