February's School-Wide Theme:"MultiCultural Explorations"
Passports, Flags, Newly formed lands and busy travellers. What an exciting afternoon! Staff and students, with passports in hand, travelled around the school as our culminating activity got into full-swing. Lands like OccuPandaLand, Telilelo, BeiberLand, Haiti, Puerto Rico, BrodskoLand, LopesIstan and so many more, were the destinations of choice. Food, facts and fun where enjoyed all around the building. Many family members attending the morning’s AAHO competition made a day of it and stayed until the end! Students, staff and family members really cooked up an exciting and engaging afternoon. We learned about each other’s real and created cultures during an unforgettable event. Can anyone say- ‘Lets do it again?’ Widener truly showed that we are a diverse and exciting community!
