John Welsh

Message from the Principal

John Welsh School was the first school in the Central East Region to convert to a K-8 organization. We have a student population of 660 students. The student population is about seventy percent Latino and thirty percent African American. Welsh draws on an experienced and collaborative school staff, while capitalizing on an abundance of instructional materials and resources.

We are a community of leaders and learners, which embraces growth and change yet never compromise on the cultural experiences of our students and parents. Excellence is our expectation! Every staff member goes "the extra mile" to provide the best learning environment possible. Welsh School is child-centered, a place where every student is given the opportunity to enhance self-esteem through successful learning experiences and positive personal interactions. We believe that at John Welsh, a good education can never be erased!!
