School Bus Rules

These are the rules for students who ride the bus to school;

  1. Be at the bus stop on time.
  2. Wait for the bus in an orderly fashion.
  3. Remain seat on the bus until it has stopped at your stop.
  4. Keep your head, arms, and everything else inside the bus window.
  5. Nothing may be thrown in or out of the bus.
  6. Avoid loud noises that can distract the bus driver.
  7. Eating, drinking, and chewing gum is not permitted on school buses.
  8. Follow the instructions of the bus driver and monitor.
  9. Leave the bus in a quiet and orderly manner and go either directly to the school yard (in the morning) or directly home (in the afternoon).

Students who do not follow bus procedures and rules shall be subject to appropriate discipline action.

If a student who regularly rides the bus is not going to be on the bus, either coming to school or to go home the office must be notified.

Request for Early Dismissals

Request by parents for an early dismissal during school hours may be made in case of an emergency. However, early dismissals for private instruction in activities such as music or dance are not granted. Routine dental and medical appointments should be made for non-school hours.

Please send your early dismissal request in writing to the school office and plan to have an adult meet your child in the school's office.

Parent Location Cards

Each year the school distributes a Parent Location Card, which indicates where parents may be located in case of an emergency.  It is very important that the school has this information. If there is a change in this information during the school year, the school must be notified as soon as possible.

Absent or Lateness

Regular attendance ensures the continuity of the education program essential for growth. Students are considered late if they arrive after classes have been admitted into the school.  If your child is absent or sent to school late, it is the responsibility of the parent to notify the teacher, in writing, of the reason. Children are responsible to make up all work missed due to lateness or absence.
