Grover Washington Jr. Middle SchoolMessage from the Principal
Dear Parents and Friends, I believe some of the best educators in the state of Pennsylvania teach at Grover Washington Jr MS each day. The staff is committed and dedicated to developing the skills in every student that is required for high school success and ultimately success in our global society. Students are strongly encouraged to participate in one of our art programs, athletic programs or other extra curricula activities in addition to their core academics. I believe that students need to be academically astute but the development of a positive character is critical for the overall success of all individuals. Each day my staff and I work diligently to prepare our students to enter into high schools that will prepare them for the universities. Our student's work very hard to help prepare themselves to be ready for the challenges that await them in their futures. At Grover everyone has high expectations and holds everyone accountable for all students success. This is a tremendous job and we can not accomplish greatness alone. We need the help and support of our parents and community. I extend my hand to parents and encourage parents to join in the quest for greatness at our monthly parent & community meeting. Working jointly for the benefit of our children, they can reach any goal. Please visit our site regularly to keep up to date with the events, announcements and celebrations that we share.
