Graduation and Promotion Requirements

The School District of Philadelphia has a Graduation and Promotion Policy.

Permission Forms

• School Trip Permission Form - all students going on school trips will receive from their teacher a new school district permission form to go on the trip. This form must be completely filled in, signed by a parent or guardian and returned to the teacher before a student can go on any school trip.
• Extra Curricular Activities - all students participating in after school extra curricular activities must have a permission form signed by their parent or guardian returned to the activity sponsor (e.g., teacher) to attend. Each activity sponsor will give out the form.
• Permission form for use of media on School District's Websites - These forms are a request for permission to use the image and/or voice of any person on the official School District of Philadelphia World Wide Web page on the Internet.

Extra Curricular Activities

Pennypacker School encourages student participation in after school activities. Any student that elects to participate in clubs must:

• display outstanding character
• follow conflict resolution
• attend on a regular basis
• have parent's permission form signed and returned

Parent Connections

Home and School Association

The Home and School meets once a month. Mrs. Brunnelson is the President of the Home and School for the year 2010- 2011. To join the home and school there is a $5 membership fee which supports the organization. All parents are welcome to join and become active members to help the Pennypacker School. Your input at these meetings is vital to the Pennypacker children. The link for the Home and School website is below.

 Breakfast/Lunch with the Principal

One day each month parents have the opportunity to have a meeting with the Principal over a continental breakfast. Many school issues are discussed and all parents are invited to attend. Check the school calendar that is sent home with your students each month for the specific date.
