Message from Principal Dr. Kathleen McCladdie
The Parkway family envisions a laboratory school in which adminstrators, staff, student and partners collaborate to inspire and prepare a new generation of leaders in education. We want to inspire, encourage and challenge our students to develop personal strategies and goals that will lead to advanced and proficient academics achievement and a desire for life long learning. Our highly qualified faculty and staff, in coordination with support from Philadelphia Academies, the West Region and the School District of Philadelphia will strive to attain the following goals:
- A safe, orderly, clean, student-centered, nurturing environment
- All core courses, not just electives, infused with the urban education theme
- A learning community designed to support committed teachers, whose effective practice encourages students to consider teaching as a career
- Increased student achievement
- Adequate Yearly Progress (AYP)
- Average daily attendance of 95 % or higher
