Our Vision

Our vision at Olney Elementary School is that every child will learn to his or her full potential.  This will be an ongoing process with constant feedback, using results from assorted assessments, including standardized test results, diagnostic tools including the Gates-McGinite, Wrap, DRA, and DIBELS to determine the needs or our students, and teacher-made classroom assessments.  This vision can be sustained and quality professional practices will be modified and monitored to provide the best opportunity for children at Olney Elementary School to grow and learn.

Our Mission

It is the mission of our school to provide an active learning environment where each student is valued and challenged to meet his or her individual potential. Our learning community constantly strives to provide appropriate supports, challenges, consequences, and rewards. We endeavor to prepare our students to think independently, work cooperatively, and view obstacles as challenges to be met.
