Message from the Principal

Dear Parents, Guardians and Students,

Welcome back to the 2011-2012 school year. I hope all of you had a restful and enjoyable summer and are ready to return for another exciting year at Hon. Luis Muñoz Marín School. I look forward to the challenges of another school year and the opportunity to work together with you.

We will continue to provide opportunities for students to reach their fullest potentional. The continued implementation of our challenging Reading and Math curriculum programs, resources and best practices will provide a quality instructional program that meets the individual needs of our students.

We take great pride in involving our parents in the educational program of our students. Your children receive the best education when you and your child's teachers work as a team. Your enthusiasm, support and involvement will inspire your child to do his/her best.

Announcements

• The PSSA Writing test for grades 5th and 8th will be on April 17-20. The PSSA Science test for grades 4th and 8th will be on April 25th and 26th.

• Students can review grades, attendance, test scores and textbooks online via StudentNet using their ID number, (the ID number is on the report card), and password. Students can get their passwords from their school counselor. Click here to go to StudentNet.

• Students can also review grades, attendance and test scores on FamilyNet. Make sure to register using the student's ID for the username and then you'll receive a temporary password. One you've logged in, you can change the password. Click here to go to FamilyNet.

• Students have access to First In Math again this year. Teachers handed out the passwords. If students do not have a password or forget it, they should tell their teacher.

• Students can also access Study Island. The username is their I.D.# followed by @marin and their password is their I.D.#. For example, 

Username: 123456@marin 

Password: 123456 

• We are asking for clean, gently used school uniforms to be donated. Please dropped them off by the school anytime.
