Message from the Principal
Dear Parents/Guardians:
It is our intention to provide your child(ren) with the best educational opportunities. To promote educational stability and a strong consistency in instruction, we strongly encourage perfect attendance, and discourage early dismissals and late arrivals. Please ensure that your child(ren) attend school every day. Students who have good attendance tend to do better in school. The school day begins at 8:30 A.M. and ends at 3:09 P.M. There will be no early dismissals after 2:30 P.M. You will receive information about the dates for 12:09 P.M. early dismissals in the monthly McClure School Calendar.
BREAKFAST AND UNIFORMS
This year breakfast will be offered for all students from 8:15 A.M. to 8:30 A.M. in the student cafeteria. Please make sure that your child is at school between the hours of 8:15 A.M. and 8:30 A.M. a.m. if he/she is going to eat breakfast. When he/she finishes eating breakfast they will wait in the schoolyard for the 8:30 A.M. admission.
I remind you that your child is required to wear the McClure School uniform (navy blue pants/skirt and white buttoned or polo shirt/blouse) daily. Students may not wear jeans, white t-shirts or sandals.
DISMISSAL PROCEDURE
Students will line up with their class in the schoolyard to be dismissed at 3:09 P.M. Please wait for your child near the gates in the yard.
In our effort to provide your child with a safe and successful learning environment the McClure School staff has created a list of 5 School Wide Behavior Expectations for all of our students:
McClure School Expectations
Be Respectful
Be Responsible
Be Cooperative
Be Peaceful
Be a Problem Solver
Our school will be a safer place with more time for teachers to instruct your child when all students follow the 5 expectations listed above.
Sincerely,
Lillian Tearte
Principal
