Message from the Principal

Dear Lingelbach Families,

It is with great pleasure that I write this letter to introduce myself as the newly appointed Principal of Anna L. Lingelbach Elementary School.  I have served as an educator in the School District of Philadelphia for more than eighteen years (Over nine years as an administrator).

I am excited to bring my skills as an instructional leader and my love of children to a new partnership with Lingelbach and the surrounding community.  Together we will work to equip our students with the necessary tools to be confident, responsible, caring students who are prepared for the twenty-first Century!

Our teachers and staff are preparing for a school year filled will high quality instruction!  As we transition to Pennsylvania Common Core Standards, teachers are designing lessons to support students in the mastery of skills needed to be College and Career ready!

In addition to a first rate educational program, Lingelbach will have a wide variety of enrichment activities for students.  Please look out for information regarding upcoming activities for your child to join.

As parents, we seek your involvement in any way you can.  We have an active Home and School Association.  You can reach our President, Jeanelle Lawson at  In addition, we will have opportunities for parents and families to stay connected with Lingelbach.

If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me at 215- 951-4001 or email me at

Looking forward to working with you and your family!

Your Partner In Education,

Lisa Matthews
