Lingelbach is located in Philadelphia in the Germantown section bordering Mt. Airy. We are a K-8 school with a student body of 420 pupils. We have a stable population of staff and students. Our special programs consist of basketball, volleyball, instrumental music,  inter-generational tutoring, algebra classes, student council, Track, Lacrosse, Dragon Boat Racing, 24 Challenge, and Project Pride. Our support staff is our Principal, Mr. Richard Raisman, a full-time Nurse and Counselor, School Base Literacy and Math Leader, and three Special Education teachers. Specialist teachers provide Computer Ed., Art, and Physical Ed. Mt. Airy Schools Committee and the Unitarian Society of Germantown are our community partners.

At Lingelbach Elementary School, emphasis is placed on the involvement of staff, parents, children and community as partners in education with the belief that all children can learn at high levels and that they can reach their intellectual and social potential. Our students are prepared to be successful and productive human beings.

Inherent in our mission is the development of the whole student through the utilization of instructional strategies that develop academic and social skills that foster self-esteem, independent thought, positive values and attitudes, self-discipline, and critical thinking. Instructional opportunities are provided for students to become successful and independent learners who are prepared for the challenges and technological advances of the twenty-first century.
