 Scholastic Achievement:

1. Students will learn vocabulary terms: main idea and supporting details.

2. Students will learn strategies to identify the main idea and supporting details in the daily reading text.

3. Students will learn vocabulary terms: author's purpose, point of view, style, tone.

4. Students will work in small groups to develop a chart of ways to Uncover the Author's Purpose.

5. Students will review the TAG it a Three strategy.

6. Students will learn the Eliminating Strategy to choose the right answers.
