Ms. Vasquez-Smith - Guidance Counselor

Mission:

The guidance program mission is to ensure that all students will be lifelong learners, having what it takes to make a successful transition from middle school to high school, and eventually to higher education and to a career of choice.

Our Beliefs:

*The counselor is a visible and integral part of the school.
*All children should have equal access to counseling and guidance services.
*Parents are our partners and shall be included in the learning process.
*The counselor is an advocate for students and their parents and will serve as a liaison between home, school and community.
*Children have the right to be respected and treated with dignity.
*All children can learn and reach their true potential given the right learning environments.
