Message From Our Principal

Kensington Health Sciences Academy- Welcome

It is my pleasure to welcome you to Kensington Health Sciences Academy. Here at KHSA, we feel that educating our students is a community endeavor that requires dedication and commitment from all parties involved including students, parents, and the community at large.  Together, we must have unwavering resolve in the pursuit of success.  Our expectation is that each student gives his or her best effort.

Kensington Health Sciences Academy was described by a visitor as the "Quiet Giant" in the School District of Philadelphia. The visitor described our school as having one of the best climates of any school in Philadelphia: a climate where students are not a number, but are known by teachers and administrators alike. Our climate is characterized by mutual respect and acceptance, and by strong standards. Our motto - Where Today's Learning Brings Tomorrow's Success - describes the comprehensive nature of our school. Our students receive a well-rounded quality education, develop essential life skills, and receive preparation for success in higher education and employment.

We have created an environment that encourages personal growth and the opportunity to explore new challenges through hands-on learning.  The administration, teachers and support staff are eager to share our exciting curriculum, which includes advanced placement and honors courses, as well as Health Related Technology and Dental Assistance Programs.  We also hope to include Pharmacy and Radiologic technician programs in the near future.

With the support of our partners - Fox Chase Cancer Center, Temple University's Kornberg School of Dentistry, Physicians for Social Responsibility, the Philadelphia Science and Math Coalition, Esperanza College, and Harcum College - KHSA will achieve its goal of building a foundation that will prepare our students for a promising future.

Thank you for visiting our web site. If you wish to learn how to begin preparing for the rewarding and highly profitable career possibilities in the health sciences industry, please contact us at (215) 291-4170.
