School Hours
School begins at 8:30 A.M. for grades K-6. Dismissal time is the same for all students, 3:09 P.M.
Students late for school are to enter through the yard and obtain a late slip in the cafeteria before proceeding to the classroom.
School Uniform
In accordance with the School District of Philadelphia Policy, all students are expected to wear school uniforms.
Holme School’s uniform is:
• collared white or light blue shirt – long or short sleeved
• navy blue sweater may be worn over the uniform
• navy blue or khaki slacks, skirts or jumpers – in warm weather, knee-length shorts or capri pants may be worn
• for gym, students may wear the gym uniform (navy blue shorts, red polo with school name or navy blue sweat suit with school name)
• sensible shoes with socks, panty hose or leotards must be worn with the uniform
For students not in uniform, parents will be called to bring the student’s uniform to school. There will be consequences for failure to wear the uniform. Consequences may include but are not limited to:
• Exclusion from class trips
• Exclusion from Golden Attitude Club
• Exclusion from Student Council and Safety Patrol
• Exclusion from Student of the Month Luncheon
• Exclusion from after-school clubs and after-school programs
• Exclusion from picture day
• Exclusion from classroom and school parties
