Greetings and welcome back for another exciting year at Thomas Holme School. I hope everyone found some time for rest and relaxation this summer! Although it may seem early to consider your child's educational plans for next year, applications for special admission MIDDLE schools are being accepted. A special admission middle school is an alternative opportunity to your neighborhood school. Special admission schools require an application and generally select students with excellent attendance, relatively clean disciplinary records and strong academic performance. Girard Academy Music School, Masterman, and Conwell Magnet Middle School are some of the special admission schools in the School District of Philadelphia. For a complete list of schools, or to complete an application, please contact me as soon as possible. The deadline for applications is usually mid-October.
