Alumnus, alumni, alumna, alumnae?

Alumnus, alumni, alumna, alumnae: which word should I use?
These words come from the Latin, which has different endings for male and female and number (singular and plural). Alumnus is a single male graduate; alumni are for male grads; alumna is a female grad; and alumnae are for female grads. Alumni is used for both male and female grads, although that may change!
