About Us

National Americorps created the Beacon program at Germantown High and surrounding schools to serve the entire community, not just students.  It is open after school until 10 P.M. T

The center offers a twilight program four days a week for non-students and 20 after school programs, such as chess,  debate, recreational sports and peer mentoring.  It will be adding business and culinary arts programs, as well. The beacon center also features a Saturday school for pupils who need extra credit. During the summer, it runs camps for small children.
