We once again welcome you to the Forrest School website. It is our aim that every child arrives on time and every day of the 2012-2013 school year. The administration and staff look forward to providing your chilren with unique and challenging learning experiences. We continue to promote parental involvement at Forrest. With your support and our Home and School's support we will once again have many successful events.Forrest is proud to announce that we are ranked number 1 in Academic Region 6!

Parents of students in Grades 3-6 are reminded that PSSA testing will begin on Monday April 8, 2013.  Your students and our staff have been working hard to ensure that we make Annual Yearly Progress.

Two Members of Forrest Honored

Two members of the Forrest Family have recently been honored:

Principal, Patricia Evans has been named a distinguished administrator by the Lindback Foundation.

Sharon Mora, Technology Teacher Leader, had been named the Dr. Ruth Wright Hayre Teacher of the year. Watch the presentation of the award.

Anneberg Foundation Grant

Annenberg Distributed Leadership Program

Forrest School is proud to be a Distributed Leadership School.  This initiative is a four-year program designed to build a stronger, more cohesive leadership team aimed at improving the instructional focus of our school and improving student outcomes. Some of the training provided by the Annenberg/PENN Distributed Leadership Program this past summer were: Differentiated Instruction, Professional Learning Communities, Analyzing Data, and Team Building. Forrest team members are Ms. Evans, Principal, Mrs. Zaidman, Mrs. Rafferty, Mrs. Mora, and our coach Mrs. Waterford.
