School Hours
Students & MedicationIf your son or daughter needs to take ANY type of medication (prescription or over the counter), he or she must bring it into school and give it to the school nurse immediately. Students are NOT permitted to bring in any type of medicine, cough syrup, inhaler, etc. to school and keep it in their desk or school bag. If you have any issues or concerns about your son or daughter and his/her medication, please feel free to call the school, and ask to speak to the school nurse.Student AbsencesIf, for any reason, your son or daughter is absent from school you must provide a note describing why he or she missed school. If a child misses three or more days of school in a row, you must call the school and tell the school nurse or classroom teacher. A child is considered "truant" (absent illegally) if a note or doctor's note is not given when he or she comes back to school.Visitation PolicyParents who wish to come to school to visit your child, pick him or her up early, you must come up the main steps on Wyoming Ave. After you walk through the double doors, please enter the Main Office and tell the secretary the reason for your coming to school. Please be aware that the secretary or any other member of the office staff, has the right to ask for a valid Driver's License, to verify your identity. This is done for safety precautions. Once a visitor's identity is verified, he or she will receive a "Visitor's Pass" to go to his or her child's classroom.
Again, please remember that when you are asked for I.D. it is not to inconvenience you, but to keep your child as well as all of the other children safe and secure.
