Counselors
Students can be seen by filling out a counselor appointment slip, and the counselor will send for the student. In emergency situations, a student may see their counselor if they have written permission from their teacher. Reasons for seeing the counselor include college guidance, personal problems, poor grades, emergency situations, drug related problems, family problems, roster changes, problems with a staff member, interest in a job, financial aid, and withdrawing from school. Each Academy has a counselor.

Student Success Center
The Student Success Center in Room 152B is a student friendly site that focuses on five aspects of the student experience: academic support, college access and preparation, career awareness and exploration, social support, and leadership development. Specific services include individual counseling, SAT/ACT/PSAT registration, college visits, resume and cover letters, essay writing assistance, and summer internship and employment opportunities.
