Information & ResourcesGraduation & Promotion RequirementsPromotion Guidelines – Grades K-2Students determined to be performing below grade level may be retained if they do not attend, or complete satisfactorily, a mandatory summer program.
Promotion Guidelines – Grade 3Grade three students will be promoted generally if
Students in grade 3 who do not meet the promotion policy must attend summer school. The district’s comprehensive summer program provides the kinds of supports that struggling students need in order to ensure that they are performing at grade level. If they do not attend, or they do not complete the summer program satisfactorily, they will not be promoted.
Promotion Guidelines Grades 4-6Students who receive F’s in reading and/or math may be retained if they do not attend, or complete satisfactorily, a mandatory summer program. The decision for promotion to the next grade will be made at the completion of summer school.
Permission FormsA trip permission form must be completed by the parent and returned to the classroom teacher.
A student media release form must be completed to use the image and/or voice of your child on the official School District of Philadelphia World Wide Web page on the Internet.

These activities are considered privileges and not a right at Cleveland Elementary School. In order to remain an active participant in an organization, a student must remain in good standing with the school by maintaining the following characteristics:
