Message from the Principal
Welcome to our Grover Cleveland Elementary School website. Grover Cleveland is a "gem" of a school filled with Head Start to 8th grade students nestled in the Tioga Community. Our co-educational school has educated and nurtured children for over 100 years. The goal of our school is to encourage each student to develop, learn and grow in their own special way and to be able to successfully contribute to our diverse and global society.
The children at Grover Cleveland have thrived in the basic principles of honesty, respect and peace. While embracing these core values, the school continues to have a partnership with our parents and the community. Our school is filled with children that are lifelong learners, qualified teachers, experienced administrators and staff in a very rich and stable community. Here, all relationships are influenced and guided by curiosity, the love of learning and a natural passion to create while respecting others.
It is our hope that through student centered learning experiences and with knowledgeable and committed adults alongside, our students can achieve high academic achievement in the 21st century and beyond. If this is to happen, it will occur by equipping students with critical thinking skills, providing them with advanced technologies, quality rigorous instruction, emotional and self-awareness, problem solving, self-discipline and conflict resolution strategies.
We believe this is the foundation, which will enable our students to evolve into disciplined, peaceful, independent thinkers and life-long learners who will make a positive impact in our community and society.
Each child learning toward excellence is our only option at Cleveland.
