Message from the Principal
Dear Bregy Family,
I hope everyone had an enjoyable summer vacation, full of fun experiences and plenty of relaxation. I am excited and honored to serve as your Principal for the upcoming school year.
I am a proud graduate of the School District of Philadelphia. I have seventeen years of experience in the field of education. Over the past seventeen years I have served as a classroom teacher, school based teacher leader, and as an assistant principal.
I chose to become a Principal in the city of Philadelphia because I want the opportunity to lead and transform a school within our district. I want to transform Bregy into a school where all stakeholders are proud to call this their school. This year I will lead the staff and students in improving academic levels in both reading and math. We will work with a sense of urgency and the expectation that all children can achieve. We will work to improve our daily attendance rate, including lateness. Lastly, we will improve the climate of the school by implementing a Positive Behavior Intervention Support Program.
I look forward to working with the entire Bregy Family to reach our goals this school year.
It Begins with a Vision
Our vision at F.A. Bregy elementary School is to foster academic excellence for a diverse community of learners in which students are intrinsically motivated to become knowledge seekers, problem solvers, and culturally accepting individuals. Together staff, parents, students, and the community will create a nuturing and safe learning environment where all students maximize their potential. Upon graduation our students will have the necessary skills to succeed in high school and meet the ever changing demands of the 21st century.
Welcome back to Bregy Elementary! We are looking forward to a great year of learning!
