BaldiMessage from the Principal
Dear Parent/Guardians, Although the school year is winding down, here at Baldi there are numerous exciting and educational activities still happening! On May 25th, we will be presenting all of our hard working student musicians, in the Spring Concert. This is always a wonderful and entertaining event and everyone is welcome! The next evening, May 26th, we will have two exciting opportunities for you to support fund raising events for educational programs at Baldi. First, plan to go to Pizzeria Uno at Neshaminy Mall for dinner. Then walk over to Barnes and Noble for dessert and some fun-filled activities. At both locations, a portion of your purchase will come back to Baldi Middle School. Ask your child to pick up vouchers at school for these events. By now, many of you have received an invitation to this year’s Summer Learning and More (SLAM) program. Along with students who are required to get additional support in Reading and Mathematics, all Special Education and ESOL students are invited to attend. If your child falls into one of these categories and you would like him/her to participate in this program, please sign and return the tear-off at the bottom of the letter that was sent home with your child to his/her homeroom teacher. It is important for you to be aware that final report cards will be mailed home to every Philadelphia School District student this year. No report cards will be distributed at school. For parents of eighth graders, please be aware that Closing Exercises will take place on Thursday, June 17, 2010 at 9:00 AM, at Holy Family University. More information will be coming home soon about Closing Exercises, as well as many other interesting activities that are being planned for the end of the school year. Watch our web site for on-going updates. The C.C.A. Baldi family wishes you a safe and restful summer. We look forward to seeing our students on September 7, 2010, ready for a new school year of learning !
