Trans pass Update 10.5
Parents and Families:
There is an issue with trans pass eligibility, in particular with 6th grade students. We are working to resolve this now. The trans pass list is formulated by calculating the distance from your home to school with a system at the central office. If you live beyond 1.5 miles from the school then you are eligible for a trans pass. It appears there is a problem with these lists and how they are generating distances. We are provided a number of transpasses for students from SEPTA based on these eligibility lists. These lists are not generated at the school level.
We understand and share your concerns as we resolve the situation. If you received a letter saying you are no longer eligible for a transpass and you believe you are, please call the school and provide your child's name, class section and address: 215-961-2003. We are forwarding student names to the appropriate people. Please provide transportation for you child to get to school in the morning if they are not currently receiving a pass. We will make sure your child has transportation home at the end of the day until this issue is resolved. We appreciate your understanding in this matter as we work to address it at the school level as soon as possible.
Below is a link for more information about transportation.
