Message from the Principal

 

Dear Parent/Guardians,

February is another very busy month at Baldi Middle School!
Our students are looking forward to their Honor Roll celebrations during the first week of the month, when they receive a certificate of achievement from the Administration and a special treat from the Home and School Association.

 

During this wintry month, we celebrate Black History Month and commemorate Presidents’ Day on February 15, 2010.

 

On February 13, 2010 we will begin our Saturday school program for Basic, Below Basic, Special Education and ELL students. Endeavoring to assist students in bringing up their PSSA scores, this program runs until March 20, 2010. Consider this seriously when you receive your letter, if your child is invited to attend. It is a terrific opportunity for your child to receive additional help! The PSSA tests will be administered after the Spring break and we are gearing up your children to do their very best!

 

The Baldi staff is working hard to ensure that your child achieves! With your support at home, we create a partnership that will lead to your child's success!

IMPORTANT WEATHER INFORMATION

• TUESDAY, FEBRUARY 9, 2010- ALL SCHOOL DISTRICT OF PHILADELPHIA AFTER SCHOOL ACTIVITIES WILL BE CANCELED 
• Inclement weather school closure announcements can be found on the homepage of the District's website, www.philasd.org, or by calling 215-400-INFO (4636). Announcements will also be reported to news radioKYW 1060 AM and all major local television newscasts. 

 

 

 

• FREE YMCA MEMBERSHIP - 7th grade students can join any one of the 10 branches for a FREE

The intention of this initiative is to promote the well-being of young adolescents at a time that is most crucial to the development of choices about healthy lifestyles.
