Our Mission

The goal of the Transportation Services Division is to provide safe, effective and efficient transportation to and from school for those eligible Philadelphia resident students in accordance with federal & state mandates, court decisions, and school district policy. As an adjunct to this goal, the Division will provide service to the schools during off-peak periods for educational programs, cultural trips, athletic team movements and special events.     

The Transportation Division will also provide high quality, low cost repairs to the School District bus fleet as well as a Preventive Maintenance (PM) program for all School District vehicles.

It is the further responsibility of the Transportation Division to provide such services economically and in accordance with sound management policies and procedures under the direction of the School Reform Commission.

The Transportation Services Division is an integral part of the total educational system, contributing significantly to the learning process by providing safe and dependable transportation.
