Who has Access to StudentNet?

• All students, grades K-12, enrolled in non-charter schools of The School District of Philadelphia

• All District students for two calendar years from the date of being coded “withdrawn” for reasons including:
  • Placement in an in-county or out-of-county placement facility
  • Graduation from high school

• Counselors, Teachers, and other school staff with access to student profiles in Schoolnet

• Parents and guardians can also have access to the resources and tools in StudentNet through FamilyNet. To log-in to FamilyNet, click here.  For more information about FamilyNet, click here.

• Accessing StudentNet is quick and easy. You just need to follow a few steps. For a Tutorial on how to access StudentNet, click here.

See below for instructions for grades 9-12 and K-8 students.

Important Note: The privacy of student records, as mandated by federal law, is critical. Student passwords are not to be shared with anyone who is not school staff or a parent/guardian. Non-district employees who want to support students in accessing and working with the information and resources in StudentNet should first seek the student's permission.

Grades K-8: How to Access

Students in grades K-8 will receive a password from their Counselor or other school staff at the beginning of the school year.

These passwords remain the same for the entire school year, and then are re-sent and re-distributed by Counselors each subsequent school year.

To log-in, K-8 students go to: www.philasd.org/login and enter their Student ID number and password in the blue Students box.

Grades 9-12: How to Access

If you are a High School student who has not yet registered for StudentNet, you need to obtain a temporary password to start the process. Temporary passwords are printed on Summer 2010 report cards and also on class rosters distributed on the first day of school. If you can't locate either of these documents, see your School Counselor who can access your temporary password.

Once you have your temporary password, follow these steps:

1. Go to www.philasd.org and Click “LOGIN” (near the top of the screen).
2. Click “Register for an Account” at the bottom of the blue Students box.
3. Scroll down on this page to see what the log-in page looks like.
4. On the next screen, enter ALL of the required information, including the temporary password you got from your counselor. Then, click the Register button.
5. You must create a new password that you will use the next time you log in. Make sure you create a password that you will remember. Check your spelling. Then, select two questions to answer if you forget your password.
   Remember your answers and check your spelling!
6. The password you create is yours until you graduate or withdraw from the School District of Philadelphia.
7. Once you have your own password, click on the StudentNet icon on the Student Portal page and you will have access to your personal account in StudentNet!

If you are already registered, sign into your StudentNet account at any time by going to the District’s homepage at www.philasd.org, click “LOGIN” at the top of the page. In the blue Student box, enter your Student ID and personal password.

If you forget your password, click on "Forgot Your Password?" at the bottom of blue Student log-in box. If you also forgot the answers to your security questions, ask your Counselor to contact the District Helpdesk (215-400-5555).
