General Announcements

MORATORIUM - On Student Transfers Throughout PSSA Testing

The letter below outlines the importance of maintaining a child's enrollment in their current school during this critical time of year.  Schools are encouraging parents who are seeking an immediate transfer for their child, to remain in the present school during this testing period.  Please know that keeping a child out of school during this moratorium period is strongly discouraged and can be detrimental to the academic progress of all children.

Facilities Master Plan Procedures

The application deadline has been extended:

The Facilities Master Plan Reassignment Process is applicable to students who are currently enrolled in the following schools:

Elementary/Middle:
Ferguson, Fulton, Kinsey, Leidy, Pepper, Pratt, Reynolds, Shaw and Smith.

Special note for furrent 8th grade students
Students who received an acceptance to a high school through the Fall Voluntary Transfer Selection Process can decide to attend that school or go to their neighborhood high school.  The School District of Philadelphia, Office of Student Enrollment and Placement will not reopen the Voluntary Transfer Selection Process.

Students that were planning to attend their neighborhood high school will receive notice of their new school by May 20th. The new neighborhood high school list will be widely distributed via the School District's website and to every school. Students can also use the District’s “School Finder” to identify their new neighborhood high school.  The School Finder can be accessed at https://webapps.philasd.org/school_finder/
