The Office of Student Placement, a division of the Office of School Operations, is your primary source regarding the student transfer process to schools within the School District of Philadelphia.  All students, including English Language Learners (ELL) and/or students with disabilities may apply for admission to any school through the District’s Transfer Process.

The School District of Philadelphia, Admission and Transfer Policy is as follows:

In General, a student is to enroll in the school within the boundary lines of legal residence of the parent or legal guardian.  However, a parent may apply for admission to any Philadelphia public school provided that:

1. The student can meet entrance requirements,
2. There is space available,
3. The established application and admission procedures are followed
