Welcome to the Office of Student Enrollment and Placement

The Office of Student Enrollment and Placement, a division of Student Support Services, is your primary source for student enrollment and transfer procedures, student records assistance, and homeless student supports within the School District of Philadelphia.

School Registration for the 2015-2016 School Year

  • Schools open for registration August 19, 2015. Generally the hours are 9am to 1:00 pm. Please contact your assigned school for specific times. 
  • Renaissance Charter Reassignments: The District does not mandate families to have their children attend a Charter School.  If your child's neighborhood school is a Charter School and they cannot accomodate your child or if you decide to have your child "Opt-Out" of attending the school then please click the above link for assistance.
  • Parental Delegations: When a child is living with a district resident, who is supporting the child without personal compensation, (gratis) the child may attend the public schools of that resident’s school district, provided that resident makes application and supplies the required enrollment information noted in the section entitled Required Enrollment Documentation.

  • Residency Affidavit: If a parent/legal guardian cannot produce the required two proofs of residency necessary for registration in a School District of Philadelphia school, a Residency Affidavit can be completed by the parent/legal guardian and processed at their receiving Neighborhood School and is only valid for one (1) school year.
  • Kindergarten Reassignments: If your neighborhood school has reached registration compacity for Kindergarten then your child will be reassigned to the next closes district school that has space available. The reassignment is only valid for (1) school year. If you would like your child to reamin at the current school, you may apply through the online School Selection Process.

Education Plus Cyber Charter Records Request Process

Please, find below the procedures for families and schools to submit student record requests for former Education Plus Academic Academy students.

For Families Submitting Online Requests

  • Go to https://philasd.scriborder.com/.
  • Choose the option which says: “CLICK HERE if you are a student that GRADUATED WITHIN THE PAST 12 MONTHS and would like to request a transcript .”
  • Enter all relvant information into the online form and click “Proceed to Checkout”. Orders will be sent to the Office of Records Management for processing.  Please note, there is no charge for this request for records.
  • The request will be processed within five (5) business days.

For Families Submitting Requests In Person

  • The student’s legal parent or guardian must bring photo identification to the Office of Student Enrollment and Placement located at 440 N. Broad Street, Suite 111.
  • After completing a short request form, the request will be processed.  A copy of the records will be mailed to the parent/legal guardian’s residence.
  • The request will be processed within five (5) business days.

For School District of Philadelphia Schools

  • Email each student’s name, DOB, and student ID# to Mr. Darnell Deans, Manager of Records Management, at  ddeans@philasd.org or via fax at 215-400-4291.  Please include the name and email address of the School District employee who should receive the electronic copy of the student’s records.
  • Once received, requests will be processed and sent electronically to the person indicated in the request.
  • The request will be processed within five (5) business days.

 

For Non-School District of Philadelphia Schools (Charter, Private, Parochial, Cyber)

  • Submit a written request, on the school’s letterhead, to the Office of Records Management.  Please, be sure to include the name and email address of the school employee who should receive the electronic copy of the student’s records.
  • All requests must be submitted to Mr. Darnell Deans, Manager of Records Management, via email at ddeans@philasd.org or via fax at 215-400-4291.
  • Once received, requests will be processed and sent electronically to the requested school.
  • The request will be processed within five (5) business days.
