A New Day

As Superintendent, I wish to extend personal and profound gratitude to the countless individuals, employees, community groups, and organizations who contributed to the planning process and the strategic plan, Imagine 2014.  The entire School District of Philadelphia family is now focused on accomplishing five major goals: student success, quality choices, great staff, accountable adults, and world-class operations.  

To a challenging and urgent task, we responded thoughtfully and without delay so that every child will soon have access to a quality education in equal measure.  

As we move forward, let us continue to take responsibility for the children--ALL the children. Successful implementation of Imagine 2014 will require the collective commitment of all of us--all who are capable of encouraging, challenging, teaching, supporting, inspiring and celebrating the children of Philadelphia.  Thank you.
