In May 2010, the School Reform Commission contracted with the Pennsylvania School Board Association (PSBA) to overhaul the School District’s Policy Manual. The process was designed to ensure policies meet state and local mandates, align policies with current practice and make the policies more accessible.
The proposed policies listed below are draft policies and are subject to change. Each month, policies submitted to Commissioners for vote will be posted for public comment on the day of the planning meeting. Policies listed have been vetted by School District staff and PSBA. Final policies adopted by the SRC can be found on the District’s policy website.
Comments may be submitted via email to src@philasd.org by the close of business on the Monday before the voting meeting.
