Mr. Dworetzky is a shareholder in the law firm of Hangley Aronchick Segal Pudlin & Schiller and focuses his practice on insolvency matters and commercial and governmental litigation. From 1993 to 1996, Mr. Dworetzky served as City Solicitor for the City of Philadelphia. Prior to joining the City, Mr. Dworetzky was a Managing Partner at Drinker Biddle & Reath, a Philadelphia law firm.
Mr. Dworetzky has been included regularly in The Best Lawyers in America. He is a Fellow of the American College of Bankruptcy and a member of the Board of Directors of that organization. He served for five years as a member of the Board of the William Penn Foundation. Leadership Philadelphia named Mr. Dworetzky one of the 101 key "Connectors" in the Philadelphia area. He has received a number of awards including the Coleman Award for outstanding contributions to the Arts community in 1997.
Mr. Dworetzky earned the degree of Juris Doctor, summa cum laude, from Villanova University School of Law in 1977 and a Bachelor of Arts degree in philosophy and writing from Purdue University in 1972. He also served as a law clerk for the Honorable Ellsworth A. Van Grafeiland, U.S. Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit, from 1977 to 1978.
