Full Electronic DocumentationFull Electronic DocumentationFED Text On December 1, 2005, a historic event occured in the School District of Philadelphia as we begin a new era in special education compliance through the mandated implementation of the EasySystem. This system, comprised of EasyIEP® and EasyTRAC®, represents the District’s commitment to providing supports that ensure our students receive quality special education programs and services. Moving forward, all staff should be aware that documentation is mandated. The transition from a paper-based system of developing special education documents and reporting related services to using the EasyIEP® system is called Full Electronic Documentation (FED). FED means that all special education documentation will be completed via a secure, web based application. The importance of adhering to these requirements cannot be stressed enough. Further, the system allows for detailed electronic compliance and management reports to be created allowing us to continue meeting our compliance goals while delivering quality special education programs and services to students with disabilities. |
