Cross Functional TeamCross Functional TeamThe Cross Functional Team of the Alternative Education Academic Division is designed to support students, families, schools, Academic Divisions, and other offices in determining the most appropriate school placements for students at any given time in their academic careers and throughout their social and emotional development. Working in collaboration with the Office of Student Discipline, Hearings, and Expulsions, whose Discipline and Truancy Liaisons and Hearing Officers expedite the transition process, the Transition Liaisons monitor student achievement and growth and prepare students for their return to regular daytime schools and related programs. All of these staff work to create a safe, supportive, and nurturing academic environment for students in the District. Administrative Staff
Management StaffThe staff below provide additional administrative support to the Alternative Education Region:
Transition LiaisonsTransition Liaisons monitor students' progress during their stay at transition schools, and make recommendations for reassignment to a regular daytime program, an accelerated school, or another appropriate educational setting at the end of a student's stay. They are happy to answer parent and student questions about transition school assignments.
