Gateway to College

Gateway to College is an alternative education program for SchoolDistrict of Philadelphia students who have dropped out.  Located on the main campus of the Community College of Philadelphia, the program offers dual-enrollment, allowing students to earn their high school diploma and college credit simultaneously.

Interested students must:

  • Be between the ages of 16-21
  • Have no more than 21 high school credits
  • Have the ability to complete requirements for graduation before the age of 22
  • Demonstrate reading ability at an 8th grade level or higher
  • Live in Philadelphia
  • Have dropped out of a School District of Philadelphia school at least 3 months prior to enrolling
  • Attend an orientation session at CCP and complete an application

Students interested in enrolling into the Gateway to College Program should visit the Re-Engagement Center, located at 440 N. Broad Street, Suite 1013 Monday thru Friday from 9:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.
