Welcome!

Welcome to the official website of The School District of Philadelphia's Eat.Right.Now. Nutrition Education Program. This program is funded through the USDA's Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP). We provide nutrition education to Philadelphia's public school students in a variety of ways:

  • We offer classroom nutrition lessons to grades K-12 where we educate the students on topics such as the Importance of Breakfast, Healthy Snacks, and Fruits and Vegetables.
  • We attend school health fairs to provide nutrition information to schools and their community.
  • Our program funds assembly programs for elementary school students performed by the National Theatre for Children, Food Play, and Taddo the Magician, that convey positive nutrition messages in a humorous and fun way.
  • Chew This!, our nutrition television program that airs on the school district's cable channel is a new and innovative program that entertains students while educating them on a variety of nutrition related topics.
