Nonpublic Programs

Nonpublic Programs

Welcome to the Office of Nonpublic Programs.  This office, in consultation with the Archdiocese of Philadelphia and Private School authorities, provides services to over 45,000 nonpublic students in 209 schools throughout the city of Philadelphia.

Nonpublic students are eligible to receive supplemental services such as remedial reading, mathematics, speech and hearing services, psychological testing, counseling as well as programs for substance abuse and bullying prevention.

Programs are funded through the No Child Left Behind Act of 2001, Titles I, II, III, IV and Pennsylvania State Law Act 89-75 to provide supplementary services to Archdiocesan and Private Schools.

State-funded programs are coordinated through outside agencies including CORA, Catapult and Elwyn.
