How to Apply for Grants

Prior to applying for any proposal requiring School District of Philadelphia involvement—even if the District is not the lead applicant—outside entities must complete an External Intent to Apply Form and submit it to the Office of Grant Development, which will then share the request with the Grant Oversight Committee.

For outside entities wishing to apply for an Education Improvement Tax Credit (EITC) letter of support, please complete and submit the EITC Intent to Apply Form to the Office of Grant Development.

For internal entities (that is, central offices, regions, schools, or staff) that wish to respond to a grant opportunity of $20,000 or more must contact the Office of Grant Development and Compliance before proceeding so that the opportunity may be reviewed by the Grant Oversight Committee as required by District policy. Interested internal applicants should submit the Internal Intent to Apply Form to the Office of Grant Development, which will then share the request with the Grant Oversight Committee. For grants of $19,999.99 and less, review and approval by Grant Oversight Committee is not required; however, it is still advisable to contact the Office of Grant Development before proceeding so that appropriate guidance and support can be provided.

When the 21st Century Community Learning Centers grant opportunity becomes available, the Office of Grant Development will post the appropriate form here. Please do not use the External Intent to Apply form or the EITC Intent to Apply Form to request support.
