Universal Feeding Program is aimed at eliminating administrative paperwork burden and increasing the number of eligible children receiving meals under the National School Lunch Program (NSLP). Under this program, the NSLP application process is replaced in 201 feeding sites by a socioeconomic study eliminating the need for parent completion of individual USDA Meal Application.
Catering Services provides meal services for meetings, conferences, staff development days, and other special events. Payment for services is accepted through money order or cash. For additional information contact: Bernadette Dearing – Catering 215-400-6875
USDA Meal Application is completed each school year in     feeding sites not currently participating in the Universal Feeding Program to give students access to our meal programs. Meal applications must be submitted each school year to ensure student’s eligibility to receive free or reduced priced meals. Free or reduced eligibility is based on income eligibility guidelines that are determined by the United States Department of Agriculture. Paper applications are available on-site beginning the first week of school.  To complete electronically, go to The School District of Philadelphia website. Click on Site Map.  Click on Food Services. Click on Related Resources, Department of Public Welfare – COMPASS – Click on Apply Now.
Breakfast Program is available at no charge in all student locations. In an effort to improve student performance through increased breakfast participation Breakfast XPRESS and Breakfast in the Classroom have been developed. Contact Food Services for details - 215-400-FOOD.
