About Certificate of Operation Management

Certificate of Operation Management is responsible for the coordination and distribution of Certificates of Operation for boilers, pressure vessels and elevator issued by the Pennsylvania Department of Labor and Industry. Database management is another vital function to provide for accurate tracking and maintenance of valid certificates along with timely payment of inspection/certificate fees.

Violations issued by the Pennsylvania Labor & Industry, Philadelphia Licenses & Inspections and Philadelphia Health Department are also recorded into a collective database system with the afore mentioned departments. The appropriate work orders are created and corrective actions are taken to rectify the deficiencies.

Periodic reports on the status of violations are generated then distributed. Once reports are returned, updates are made in the database. In addition, reports on the status of Certificates of Operation can be generated to display the status of all certificates.
