Grade Teacher - Regular and Bilingual (Spanish)

The Grade Teacher will teach

Salary

Pennsylvania Certified Only

Summary

The Grade Teacher will teach the content areas of the early childhood or elementary curriculum in a kindergarten or elementary school setting.  Such instruction will be given in mathematics, language arts, science, art, and other appropriate subjects.  The Grade Teacher may participate in curriculum committees and other professional activities and will perform related duties as required.

 

Position Requirements

1. Present a Commonwealth of Pennsylvania Instructional Certificate in Elementary Education,

                                                                OR

2.   Present a Commonwealth of Pennsylvania Intern Certificate in Elementary Education,

Note: In order to be consider for this position, you are required to provide the following documents when you invited in for an interview. Candidates failing to present these documents will not be appointed.

• A copy of your certification
• A copy of your Bachelor’s degree or a copy of your college transcript which shows the date you earned your bachelor’s degree
• Two letters of recommendation
• A copy of current clearances, or proof that you have submitted for such clearances (PA Child Abuse, Criminal Background, and FBI Check)

Note: In order to be classified as a bilingual teacher, candidates must successfully complete a written and oral Language Proficiency Screening.

Note:  The Department of Education will not grant the teaching certificate necessary for this position to individuals who have been  convicted of certain crimes or who have a record of child abuse.
