Music - Vocal Computer AssistedThe School District of Philadelphia Music - Vocal Computer Assisted0415 - Teacher of Vocal Assisted Music Education (10 Month) SummaryThe Teacher of Vocal—Computer Assisted Music Education will provide vocal/choral instruction for the music curriculum and will teach courses which utilize computer hardware and software, including the interfacing of synthesizers and other peripheral devices now available for the enhancement of instruction in music education. This will include organizing and directing various vocal/choral ensembles, presenting concerts and other musical performances, being responsible for maintaining accurate records of and providing security for musical/electronic equipment, and performing related duties as required. Position RequirementsEach applicant must: 1a. Present a Commonwealth of Pennsylvania Instructional Certificate in Music, or b. Present a Commonwealth of Pennsylvania Intern Certificate in Music, or c. Present a current instructional certificate in Music from a state other than Pennsylvania. If you are not certified in Pennsylvania, you should immediately contact the Bureau of Teacher Preparation and Certification to begin the evaluation process at: 333 Market Street, Harrisburg, PA 17126-0333, or by phone at: 717-787-3356. and 2a. Have had professional experience in the use of computers in music education. In order to be considered for this position, you must provide details of such experience on your application. or b.Have completed accredited post-high school course work in the use of computers in music education.
