DUTIESSubstitute School Psychologists are called when regularly appointed school psychologists are absent from school. School Psychologists will consult with school staff to develop informal interventions from referred students; observe students in the classroom and other relevant settings; consult with special education teachers and related services staff to implement effective intervention strategies; consults with parents and agency personnel regarding students after school adjustment; follows-up on student and adjustment; participates in the provision of staff and parent training; and assists in managing student records. The substitute school psychologist will use non-biased testing procedures, implement P.L.94-142 and other mandates in keeping with Pennsylvania standards for Special Education and performs related duties as required. Position RequirementsApplicants must possess a valid Commonwealth of Pennsylvania Certificate in the area of School Psychologist. Hiring Requirements All Candidates must present, at the time of hiring, A Valid Pennsylvania Criminal Record Check, a completed Pennsylvania Child Abuse Check, FBI Clearance, an approved physical.
