Summary

7527 - Bus Chauffeur, Part-Time (4 hours per day)

Under the direction of a Transportation Supervisor, the part-time Bus Chauffeur operates a school bus providing transportation for students to and from school, to alternate school sites, and on school sponsored field trips.
In addition, the Bus Chauffeur supervises or assists in supervising student behavior on the bus; cleans and maintains vehicles; may assist transportation mechanics with minor daily maintenance; and performs related work as required.

Position Requirements

Each applicant must:

1. Have a high school diploma or GED Certificate; In order to be considered for this position, you must attach a copy of your diploma or GED certification to your application

And

2. Be at least 21 years of age.

And

3.Have a valid Driver’s License; In order to be considered for this position, you must attach a copy of your driver's license to your application

And

4. Have a valid Class "A" or "B" Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with a passenger endorsement (with the air brake restriction removed) and a Pennsylvania school bus endorsement.

Application Procedure

Applications must be submitted with a copy of your diploma or GED, as well as a copy of your Driver's License at the time of submittal.  Applications can be filed until the needs of the School District are met.
