Salary Schedule: See Agreement between the Board of Education and the Philadelphia Federation of Teachers.

Duties

In addition to regular coaching duties, this position requires total responsibility for the supervision of activity in athletic areas, locker rooms, and buses, and for making arrangements for the proper care of injured players as well as other related duties as required.

Examination Entrance Requirements
Each applicant must:

1. Have a Pennsylvania Instructional or Vocational Teaching Certificate or a Certificate to act as an Educational Specialist and be presently employed as a regularly appointed teacher with the School District of Philadelphia,

And

2. Have playing and/or coaching experience with an organized team in the area of application. In order to be considered for this position, you must provide details of such experience on your application

And

In order to be considered for this position, you must a attach a copy of all documents to your application.

1. possess an American Red Cross Standard First Aid Course Certificate.
2. Have completed course work in the prevention and care of athletic injuries from an accredited college or university;
3. Have completed a course of in-service training in the prevention and care of athletic injuries from an institution recognized by the School District of Philadelphia.

Note:   Candidates will be required to sign a statement at the time of the written examination certifying that they have met entrance requirement #3 described above. Misrepresentation of facts on the certification form will be grounds for examination disqualification and subsequent disciplinary action.
