Read To Me Early Literacy Program

Read to Me is a home and school read aloud program developed to help parents become more involved in reading to their children at home. Read to Me provides 300 hardback books to be rotated among pre-kindergarten and kindergarten classrooms. Each book includes a list of story-related questions to help parents and teachers engage children with reading strategies that develop oral language, background knowledge, vocabulary, and comprehension skills. 

Learn Along Lane

Learn Along Lane is a cable television program for families and children who are not in a formal preschool setting. It provides parents with tools to use in the family's home environment in promoting the skills necessary for a child's success in kindergarten.

CLI Model Classrooms

The Children's Literacy Initiative Model Classroom project creates rich literacy environments and provides teachers with training on the best instructional practices to transform instruction in classrooms.
