MTSS-RtII Principals Training August 2015

 
MTSS-RtII professional development was offered to principals to address year 4 of our district's implementation of RtII, now called MTSS-RtII. The session provided the following:
  • A clear understanding of the state's definition of MTSS-RtII.
  • Clear steps on how to gauge the fidelity of implementing MTSS-RtII throughout the school year.
  • What happens in the classroom at Tiers 1-3 for academic instruction, attendance and behavioral health supports.
  • The role of the MTSS-RtII Champion and
  • Maximizing the Online Interventions Module for data.

RtII Champions Workshop Day June 2015

This workshop day culminated year 3 implementation of RtII in our district. RtII Champions celebrated their successes and prepared for year 4 implementation.

This workshop focused on gauging fidelity with RtII implementation. In addition, schools volunteered and presented their best practices for RtII implementation.

Council of Great City Schools Conference Presentation


"Implementing Response to Instruction and Intervention (RtII) in a Large Urban District on a Shoestring Budget" was presented at the Annual Fall Conference of the Great City Schools during the week of October 30 - November 3, 2013 in Albuquerque, NM. This was a collaborative effort with the Office of Curriculum & Assessment (Janicka Newbill), Office of Educational Technology (Jan Tong) and the Office of Student Services & Transition (Maurice West).
