What do we do?

 

The Office of Classification and Compensation provides the following services:

  • Administration of the District's compensation program

  • Maintenance of the District's pay plan

  • Establishment of new positions

  • Performance of job audits, evaluations and benchmark analysis

  • Reclassification of existing positions when duties have changed

  • Creation and/or updating of job descriptions for filled or vacant positions

  • System set-up and maintenance of all position-related information including tables which impact pay, benefit and leave provisions for all employees

  • Advising activity managers regarding promotions, new hires, upgrades, new and revised position changes
  • Conducting market and equity studies

  • Providing compensation-related guidelines, tools and information 
  • Assistance and guidance with departmental reorganizations

  • Processing of:

    • Payroll Adjustment to Gross forms (S-324);

    • Request for Extra-Curricular, Staff Development, Evening or Summer Activities forms (S-313/316)

    • Job Requisition (SEH-440, 441, 442) forms
