What do we do?
The Office of Classification and Compensation provides the following services:
Administration of the District's compensation program
Maintenance of the District's pay plan
Establishment of new positions
Performance of job audits, evaluations and benchmark analysis
Reclassification of existing positions when duties have changed
Creation and/or updating of job descriptions for filled or vacant positions
System set-up and maintenance of all position-related information including tables which impact pay, benefit and leave provisions for all employees
- Advising activity managers regarding promotions, new hires, upgrades, new and revised position changes
Conducting market and equity studies
- Providing compensation-related guidelines, tools and information
