Professional Growth & Development Plan

Professional Growth & Development Plan

Individualized Talent & Development Plan

The Individualized Talent & Development Plan (ITDP) is designed to:
  • encourage regular, constructive discussions between employees and supervisors regarding employee performance and results with respect to goals and expectations,
  • improve each employee’s understanding of her/his roles and responsibilities,
  • promote more effective job performance,
  • align future goals and responsibilities with the objectives of the department/unit, and
  • enhance each employee’s professional growth and development.

The ITDP is built around an annual cycle that follows the school year.  Goals and Objectives should be defined in August.  An informal mid-year review should occur in January/February.  The formal annual reviews take place in June/July.  To make this process most productive, please consider:

  • the goals and expectations of the evaluated employee during this appraisal cycle,
  • the measurable results delivered by the evaluated employee during this appraisal cycle,
  • the quality of the employee’s work, and
  • the performance area(s) where you would like to see improvement.

Each employee is encouraged to complete a self-appraisal using this worksheet.  The supervisor will review the self-appraisal and take it into consideration while completing the ITDP.  Completed ITDP sheet(s) will be part of each employee’s official personnel file.

If you need more space, please use additional paper.  Include the employee’s last name and identification number on each page.
